The 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela, held from February 7 to 23, 2025, in Faridabad, Haryana, was a mesmerizing fusion of tradition, art, and global heritage. This grand celebration transformed Surajkund into a vibrant canvas where culture came alive through colors, crafts, and captivating performances.
This year, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh took center stage as the theme states, showcasing their rich legacy of intricate handlooms, tribal art, and exquisite handicrafts. Over 1,000 artisans from across India and BIMSTEC nations—Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand—added an international touch, making the fair a global cultural confluence.
The air buzzed with folk melodies, the rhythmic beats of dance, and the aroma of delectable regional cuisines. Visitors witnessed live craft demonstrations, interacted with artisans, and indulged in handcrafted treasures. From colorful textiles to tribal paintings, every stall told a story of heritage and artistry.
The 38th Surajkund Mela wasn’t just an exhibition—it was a journey through time, tradition, and talent, proving yet again why it remains a symbol of India’s cultural pride and unity in diversity.
