Nuh, 26 April – At approximately 10:00 AM today, a routine cleaning operation on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway near Ibrahimbad village turned into a scene of unfathomable horror. More than ten sanitation workers were sweeping the roadside when a high-speed pickup truck suddenly crashed into the group without warning.
The impact was so sudden and severe that the victims had no chance to react. 6 female workers died instantly and 1 supervisor died at the hospital, while at least 5 other female workers suffered critical injuries. The force of the collision was so immense that several of the deceased were found in shattered fragments, unrecognizable condition.
Within minutes of the tragedy, officers from the Ferozepur Jhirka police station and highway rescue teams arrived on the scene to begin recovery efforts. The bodies have been transported to Al Afia Hospital in Mandi Kheda for post-mortem examination, and the injured have been rushed to Nalhar Medical College for emergency treatment.
