New Delhi, 26 April – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the co-option of CA Mohit Jain as a member of its newly formed Artificial Intelligence (AI) Committee. An experienced chartered accountant specializing in taxation and compliance, CA Jain brings both technical expertise and practical insight to the body.
For the 2025–26 term, ICAI’s President—CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, representing North India—will work alongside the AI Committee, which is chaired by CA Umesh Sharma with CA Dayaniwas Sharma serving as Vice-Chairman. The committee’s mandate is to train members in AI technologies and promote their application across audit, assurance, tax and advisory services.
Headquartered in New Delhi and established in 1949, ICAI regulates India’s chartered accountancy profession, setting standards for accounting, auditing and ethics.
On his appointment, CA Mohit Jain expressed gratitude to President Charanjot Singh Nanda, Chairman Umesh Sharma and Vice-Chairman Dayaniwas Sharma. From his home unit in Rewari, colleagues Sachin Bhutani, Anu Jain, Sahil Mendiratta, Satish Yadav and Prabhav Agarwal extended their congratulations—marking the first time a Rewari-based CA has joined an ICAI central committee—and pledged their support for his contributions to the AI initiative.
