New Delhi/Gurugram, 6 May – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) dramatically arrested former Congress MLA Dharm Singh Chhoker of Samalkha late Sunday night at Delhi’s five‑star Shangri‑La Hotel. The entire episode was captured on the hotel’s CCTV cameras. The footage clearly shows an ED officer forcing the ex‑legislator to the ground as Chhoker attempted to flee, then roughly lifting him up and tearing his clothes in the process.
A special PMLA court in Gurugram had earlier declared the former MLA an absconder in a money‑laundering case. The ED also alleged that Chhoker tried to evade arrest by attacking its officers and hotel staff.
