Gurugram, 11 April – Shanti Devi, a 92-year-old citizen, passed away at 2:15 PM today following a period of gradual health decline after a lower back surgery.
Approximately 1 to 1.5 months ago, Shanti Devi underwent a successful operation to repair a fractured lower back bone. In the aftermath of the surgery, she faced the challenges common among those in her age group – a temporary loss of strength and a reduced appetite.
Three days prior to her passing, she was admitted to the hospital in an ICU as her condition gradually worsened.
Her grandson Rahul Bharadwaj has confirmed about the cremation of Shanti Devi’s mortal remains has been scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM.
