Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana/Mohit Kumar), 26 April – At the Prime Minister’s Employment Fair held today at Excelsior American School in Sector 43, Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh handed over appointment letters to 147 young candidates, officially welcoming them into various government departments. Across 47 venues nationwide, more than 51,000 applicants received their letters of appointment under this flagship recruitment drive.
The programme opened with a solemn one-minute silence in memory of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Following the tribute, Minister Singh personally greeted each of the 147 newly appointed youths from Gurugram, congratulating them on their success.
Addressing the gathering, Rao Inderjit Singh highlighted the government’s achievement of placing over one million young people in public sector roles to date. “Under the Prime Minister’s Employment Fair initiative,” he said, “we remain committed to creating even more opportunities for India’s youth.”
One of the beneficiaries, who had applied a year ago and since cleared both the preliminary and main examinations, expressed his joy: “It feels incredible to finally hold my appointment letter—I can’t wait to begin serving.”
