Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 16 May – Under vibrant banners and devotional hymns, the Shri Krishna Kripa Prerna Utsav came alive in Gurugram last evening. Saints from across India and renowned bhajan singers gathered alongside Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and an enthusiastic crowd to celebrate the birthday of Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand.
Addressing the assembly, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reminded young people that in an age of mobile phones and social media, it’s easy to lose touch with one’s cultural heritage. “To maintain balance in life,” he said, “you must embrace the spiritual wisdom and message of karma taught by Lord Shri Krishna.” Urging the youth to integrate these teachings into daily practice, he encouraged them: “Whenever you find time, read at least two verses from the Gita.”
Before his speech, CM Saini offered heartfelt birthday wishes to Swami Gyananand and received his blessings. He praised the gathering of saints and dignitaries—including Delhi CM Rekha Gupta—for enriching the festival’s cultural spirit. “Our goal,” he added, “is not just to read about Indian culture in books, but to live it every day.”
Under the banner “Operation Sindoor: A Symbol of National Dignity,” Saini highlighted Gurugram’s ancient ties to Mahabharata-era teachings of dharma. While reaffirming non-violence as society’s guiding principle, he noted that India responds firmly when provoked. Referring to the recent Pahalgam operation, he lauded our armed forces—under PM Modi’s leadership—for crossing the border to eliminate terrorists, calling it a powerful testament to national resolve.
Turning to Haryana’s future, the Chief Minister announced plans to elevate the annual Gita Mahotsav to an international festival, positioning Kurukshetra as a global spiritual destination. He also emphasized the Tirtha Darshan Yojana, which enables senior citizens to undertake subsidized pilgrimages, as part of the state’s commitment to nurturing both material progress and spiritual consciousness.
In her address, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta thanked CM Saini and his team for their support. She extended warm birthday greetings to Swami Gyananand Maharaj, praising his dedication to Sanatan values and the enduring wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. “His words,” she said, “are not just expressions—they are a source of deep spiritual energy and balance for today’s generation.”
Also present were Cabinet Minister Shyam Singh Rana, State BJP President Mohan Lal Kaushik, Ministers of State Rajesh Nagar and Gaurav Gautam, MLAs Bimla Chaudhary, Tejpal Tanwar, Mukesh Sharma, Chairperson of the Haryana Women’s Commission Renu Bhatia, and other dignitaries.
