Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 16 April — In a distressing incident on Wednesday morning, a school mini bus was struck by a dumper truck near Tulip Chowk in Gurugram, leading to the vehicle overturning and leaving four individuals seriously injured.
Details of the Incident:
The mini bus, affiliated with Ryan International School on Sohna Road, was on its route to pick up students. After collecting two children near Tulip Chowk, the bus proceeded towards Tikli village. As it approached the Nurpur turn, a dumper truck from the direction of Palra village collided with the rear wheels of the bus, causing it to overturn.
At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying two students, the driver, and a bus attendant. All four sustained serious injuries and were promptly transported to a private hospital for medical attention.
Immediate Response and Investigation:
Local residents, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene and assisted in rescuing the occupants from the overturned bus. The dumper driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Following a complaint lodged by the school bus driver, an FIR has been registered at the Badshahpur police station against the absconding dumper driver. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage and conducting inquiries to apprehend the suspect.
