Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 15 April — In a disturbing incident that has shocked the community, a 46-year-old air hostess, who was in Gurugram for training, has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a hospital staff member while on a ventilator at a private hospital. The case was brought to light when she filed a complaint at the Sadar police station in Gurugram on April 14, 2025, in the presence of her legal advisor.
According to police information, the air hostess had arrived in Gurugram on behalf of her airline company for training and had been staying at a hotel during her visit. Her condition deteriorated after an incident in which she reportedly nearly drowned, prompting her initial admission to a private hospital for treatment. On April 6, 2025, her husband admitted her to another hospital in Gurugram for further medical care. While she was on a ventilator on that day, a hospital staff member is alleged to have sexually assaulted her. Overwhelmed by fear and in a state of unconsciousness, she could neither speak up nor report the crime immediately.
After being discharged on April 13, 2025, the air hostess confided in her husband about the incident. Disturbed by the revelation, her husband promptly notified the police by dialing 112, following which a formal complaint was lodged with the assistance of their legal advisor.
In response to the complaint, the Sadar police team in Gurugram has registered the case under the appropriate legal sections. The victim has already provided her statement before a magistrate, and the police has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. As part of their ongoing inquiry, the authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the hospital and are working to identify the accused. Once identified, the hospital staff member will be arrested in accordance with legal procedures.
The investigation remains underway as police work to determine the full extent of the assault and to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice. Further updates on the case will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
