Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana/Mohit Kumar), 15 April – In a resolute move to enforce the city’s encroachment-free initiative, nodal officer R.S. Bhatt led a crackdown on unauthorized structures along Sheetla Mata Mandir Road today. The operation, marked by swift demolition and a robust police presence, comes after repeated warnings to local residents who had illegally occupied the area.
Authorities had earlier circulated clear instructions to residents from Atul Kataria Chowk to the Sheetla Mata Mandir, urging them to vacate any encroached spaces. Despite these warnings, non-compliance prompted decisive action from R.S. Bhatt and his team. “We had issued prior warnings, but when they were not heeded, we had no choice but to enforce our regulations,” Bhatt explained.
The operation was bolstered by a significant police contingent deployed on the scene to ensure that any public dissent was met with orderly management. Bhatt noted that compared to previous measures, there has been an approximate 70% improvement in compliance since the crackdown began. “It is essential for the residents of Gurugram to join us in our mission to keep the city free from encroachments,” he added. “If resistance continues, we will not hesitate to take further action.”
Authorities are signaling zero tolerance for encroachments, and residents are encouraged to cooperate fully to help foster a safer and more orderly environment in Gurugram.
