Gurugram, 13 July — In a decisive move to curb the misuse of residential spaces and unauthorised commercial activities, authorities conducted an extensive “OFFICE – ON THE SPOT” drive in Sushant Lok-1, Gurugram on July 12, 2025. As part of the action, 61 Show Cause Notices (SCNs) were served to property owners in C/C-1 Block for misusing residential premises for commercial purposes.
The properties in violation were found operating as clinics, gyms, skincare centres, eyewear stores, departmental shops, book and toy shops, as well as property and other commercial offices, many of which were located in residential basements.
In a parallel operation, a demolition and sealing drive was carried out in the Vyapar Kendra Market, C-Block, under the jurisdiction of the Sushant Lok-1 Police Station. The coordinated effort with police support led to a series of firm actions:
- One 2nd Floor sealed following a complaint of unauthorised additional construction in C-Block.
- 17 steel staircases constructed in the parking areas were demolished.
- Three mobile counters illegally set up in common areas were removed.
- Two sheds, functioning as encroachments by Mother Dairy and Safal, were taken down.
- 21 offices operating beyond permissible construction limits on the 1st and 2nd Floors were sealed.
