Gurugram, February 04 : A Jail Lok Adalat was successfully held by Rakesh Kadian, Ld. CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Gurugram on 04 February 2026 at District Jail, Gurugram (Bhondsi).
The Jail Lok Adalat was organized with the objective of providing speedy and effective access to justice to undertrial prisoners through amicable settlement of eligible cases, thereby reducing pendency and facilitating early relief.
During the Lok Adalat, a total of 04 cases pertaining to undertrial prisoners were taken up for consideration, out of which 01 case was disposed of through settlement.
Rakesh Kadian, Ld. CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Gurugram also interacted with the inmates and sensitized them about free legal aid services, availability of panel advocates, and the benefits of Lok Adalat mechanism. The inmates were informed about their legal rights and remedies available under various legal services schemes.
The Jail authorities extended full cooperation in the smooth conduct of the Jail Lok Adalat.
