Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 3 April. The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has issued a public notice regarding a planned shutdown of the master water supply at WTP Chandu, Gurugram. This shutdown is necessary to facilitate the connection of an additional 100 MLD WTP Phase-4 to the existing 1600 mm diameter pipeline.
A complete shutdown lasting 30 hours will be in effect from 11:00 am on April 7, 2025, until 5:00 pm on April 8, 2025. The impacted areas include Sectors 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 12; Sectors 81 to 115; as well as Dayanand Colony, Old Gurugram, Laxman Vihar, and the Choti Mata Boosting Station.
In addition, a further 12-hour water supply interruption is scheduled for Village Chandu and Dhankot, Sector 10, Sector 33, Sector 37D & 38, and the Boosting Station in Sector 51 (covering Sectors 42-74 and Village Badshahpur). This shutdown will occur from 11:00 am to 11:00 am on April 7, 2025.
Advisory for Residents:
Residents in the affected areas are advised to use water judiciously from April 6 to April 8, 2025, to mitigate the impact of the water supply disruption.
This planned upgrade is part of GMDA’s ongoing efforts to enhance water infrastructure and ensure a more reliable water supply system for Gurugram, and authorities urge residents to take the necessary precautions and plan ahead for the temporary inconvenience.
Hope authorities have arranged water tankers to help the residents to meet this water supply cut .
