Gurugram (Ajay Verma/Paridhi Dhasmana), 23 September – Global star Nora Fatehi is on a roll — and clearly not slowing down. Fresh off announcing her explosive international Punjabi anthem I’m So Rich with Yo Yo Honey Singh, the singer-dancer has now sparked fresh buzz by dropping a surprise hint about venturing into Bengali music.
During a lively exchange with music producer Sanjoy, Nora playfully toyed with the idea of lending her voice to a Bengali chorus. Having already sung in Arabic, Swahili, and Punjabi, she admitted Bengali feels “beautiful, but a little intimidating.” With her trademark candour, she joked, “What if I sound silly?” only for Sanjoy to reassure her that it would be nothing short of a celebration.
What began as banter soon turned into a lighthearted promise. Laughing, Nora told fans, “Guys, I don’t know what this man just convinced me to do… we’re doing a Bengali song. Pray for me!” Sanjoy even teased a possible hook line: “Ki maya, lagaicho.”
If the experiment materializes, Bengali listeners could soon hear their language echo in Nora’s voice — further solidifying her identity as a multilingual global artist. As she put it herself, “It’s not just about being global, it’s about truly celebrating every culture with sincerity.”
And music isn’t her only stage. Beyond her sonic experiments, Nora is also gearing up for her lead role in Kanchana 4 along with several other film projects in the pipeline. Whether it’s cinema or music, this global star seems determined to keep raising the bar.
