Bhiwani, 16 April — In a shocking incident from Haryana’s Bhiwani district, a woman and her lover have been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband after he discovered their affair.
The accused, Ravina, a 28-year-old social media influencer from Judi village in Rewari, was married to Praveen, 32, a driver from Gujaron Ki Dhani in Bhiwani. The couple had a six-year-old son. Ravina met Suresh, a fellow content creator from Prem Nagar village in Hisar, on Instagram about 18 months ago. Their collaboration on short videos and reels led to a romantic relationship, despite objections from Praveen and his family.
On March 25, Praveen reportedly caught Ravina and Suresh in a compromising position at their home. An altercation ensued, during which Ravina and Suresh allegedly strangled Praveen with a dupatta. Later that night, they transported his body on a motorcycle and dumped it in a drain along Dinod Road, approximately six kilometers from their residence.
Praveen’s decomposed body was discovered three days later. CCTV footage from the area showed Ravina and a helmeted man on a motorcycle, with what appeared to be a body placed between them. Upon interrogation, Ravina confessed to the crime. She has been taken into judicial custody, while Suresh remains at large.
The case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the potential dangers of social media entanglements and the tragic consequences that can ensue.
