Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 28 July – Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram, has once again proved its mettle in nurturing scientific minds, as student Abhay Bailey clinches the prestigious INSPIRE–MANAK Grant 2024–25 for his Artificial Intelligence project, Rakshak-AI.
Under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan and the dynamic guidance of Principal Dr. Ms. Arti Chopra, the school has cultivated an ecosystem that celebrates original thinking and problem-solving at the grassroots level. Abhay’s innovation—a threat detection system powered by AI—was lauded for its technical feasibility and deep social relevance, earning him a ₹10,000 grant under the Haryana State Innovation Scheme.
The INSPIRE–MANAK scheme, a joint initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), is designed to foster scientific temperament among students from Classes 6 to 10. Abhay’s project was chosen from among lakhs of entries nationwide, marking a significant achievement both for the young innovator and the school community.
Rakshak-AI now qualifies for further showcases at the District, State, and National Level Exhibitions and Project Competitions (DLEPC, SLEPC, NLEPC). These platforms offer mentorship, prototype development support, and even patent facilitation—paving the way for budding inventors to transition from ideas to impact.
Expressing his gratitude, Abhay credited the school’s nurturing environment and leadership for empowering him to chase bold ideas. “It’s the culture of encouragement and innovation at Amity that helped Rakshak-AI come to life,” he shared.
This milestone not only underscores the school’s commitment to holistic education but also aligns with India’s larger vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat—one where homegrown innovation drives sustainable, inclusive growth.
In an era where young minds are the catalysts of technological transformation, Abhay Bailey’s journey is both a personal triumph and a powerful reminder: the future of innovation is already here—and it’s being shaped in our classrooms.
