In a high‑energy video shared on social platforms, the duo could be seen dancing to the film’s trailer music as crowds cheered them on. Next, they swept through Mumbai’s Bandra district, arriving at RD & SH National College to interact with students and faculty, further fueling buzz around the film. Their whirlwind tour wrapped up in Lucknow, where they embraced local flavour by cruising around in a colourfully decorated auto‑rickshaw, capturing hearts and smartphone footage at every turn. Originally slated for a wide theatrical release on Friday, 9 May 2025, the makers of Bhool Chuk Maaf opted for a direct‑to‑OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, 16 May, citing heightened security drills across India linked to Operation Sindoor. In an official statement, Maddock Films emphasized that the decision reflects the “spirit of the nation comes first,” ensuring audiences can safely enjoy the film from home.
The story centers on Ranjan, a small‑town romantic from Banaras, who lands a government job to marry Titli but forgets a vow to Lord Shiva, trapping him in a hilarious time loop until he fulfills his promise. Adding an emotional undercurrent to the film’s narrative is “Sawariya Tera,” the third single released ahead of the film, composed by Tanishk Bagchi with poignant lyrics by Irshad Kamil and delivered by singer Raghav Chaitanya.
