Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 11 April — The ongoing drainage improvement initiative in Sector 7, Gurugram, has entered a critical phase with the commencement of slab installation over the recently cleaned stormwater drains. This development follows the successful removal of debris and disconnection of illegal sewage connections, aiming to mitigate health hazards and enhance pedestrian safety.
The project, spearheaded by Ward 32 Councillor Vijay Parmar and his personal assistant Satyanarayan, utilizes JCB and hydraulic machinery to place concrete slabs over the previously open drains. This measure is intended to prevent accidents and improve the overall sanitation of the area.
Local residents and members of the Gurugram Interest Committee have expressed their appreciation for the swift action taken by the municipal authorities. They highlighted the significance of covering the drains to prevent potential mishaps and to maintain cleanliness in the vicinity.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance urban infrastructure and public health standards in Gurugram. The authorities have indicated that similar projects will be undertaken in other parts of the city to address long-standing sanitation issues.
