METAMORPHOSIS – HEALTH AND WELLNESS FIESTA 2025
The World Health Organization, along with its global partners, observes World No Tobacco Day on May 31, each year. To raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use and to advocate for reducing tobacco consumption in all forms, Blue Bells Model School organized ‘Metamorphosis – Health and Wellness Fiesta’, an Inter-School Mega Life Skills Event, on May 23. The event was held under the aegis of ADEPT – A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, Powered by wellnesswise.in.
As part of event Metamorphosis, students reached out to the community on May 21 at Ram Park Sector-4. The initiative aimed to sensitize the public and foster a sense of responsibility towards the harmful effects of tobacco. Our enthusiastic students actively engaged with community members, sharing crucial information about the health consequences of tobacco use. To further spread the message, a Signature Campaign was conducted, encouraging residents to take a stand against tobacco consumption and promote a healthier, tobacco-free society.
To target a larger audience and raise awareness about the risks of tobacco and lead a healthy lifestyle a series of social media campaigns were also launched.
The Inter-School Debate Competition was organized for Classes IX-XII on the thought-provoking topic, ‘Considering both direct and indirect costs, is the Tobacco Industry a Net Economic Benefit or a Burden to Society?’ The event brought together students of 33 schools from all over the city, each presenting compelling arguments that highlighted both the economic contributions and the profound social and health-related consequences of the tobacco industry. The debate served as a powerful platform for young minds to engage critically with a topic of global relevance, especially on a day dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of tobacco.
Alka Singh, Principal, Blue Bells Model School, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools and the dignitaries.
