BDBBPS MUN 2026: 600 Students Come Together for Diplomacy, Dialogue and Peace
Gurugram: BD Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram, hosted the BDBBPS MUN Conference 2026 on August 23 and 24, bringing together around 600 delegates from across India. The two-day conference was held around the theme, “Building Bridges of Peace and Sustainability for Generations to Come.”

The conference provided students with a platform to engage in diplomacy, debate and dialogue while discussing national and global issues. Through various committees and interactive sessions, the participants got an opportunity to put forward their views, understand different perspectives and develop their communication and leadership skills.
The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Shloka chanting, followed by a song presentation and a vibrant cultural fusion dance. The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Major (Dr.) Mohammed Ali Shah, an internationally acclaimed TEDx speaker, Army veteran, motivational speaker and defence analyst, and Ms. Shefali Chopra, Story Evangelist, TEDx speaker and theatre exponent.
The event was also graced by the presence of Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Roopali Kudesia emphasised the importance of dialogue and peaceful negotiations, stressing that war cannot be the solution to conflicts. She encouraged students to understand the value of diplomacy and communication in building a more peaceful world.
Major (Dr.) Mohammed Ali Shah spoke to the students about the importance of confidence and self-belief, encouraging them to face challenges with a positive mindset. Ms. Shefali Chopra, meanwhile, highlighted the importance of travelling and learning from different cultures and experiences.
16 Committees Hosted During the Conference: The BDBBPS MUN featured 16 committees, giving students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of simulations and discussions. The committees included UNGA, UNEP, UNESCO, UNHRC, UNSC, WHO, IAEA, G20, Lok Sabha and AIPPM, among others.
Adding an innovative touch to the conference, students also participated in committees such as Ministry of Magic, IPL and Citizen Dialogue. These unique formats offered participants a different way to explore leadership, negotiation, decision-making and public discourse.
Throughout the conference, delegates actively participated in debates and discussions, presenting their arguments while also listening to and responding to different viewpoints. The sessions encouraged students to think critically and engage with complex issues from multiple perspectives.
Students Connect With Participants From Eight Countries: One of the major highlights of BDBBPS MUN 2026 was the online international session, which connected students with global partners and participants from eight countries.
Students interacted with participants from the USA, Greece, Croatia, India, Romania, Poland, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. The session provided an opportunity for cross-cultural exchange and helped students gain a broader understanding of international perspectives.
The international interaction also added a global dimension to the conference, allowing young participants to engage with peers from different cultural and geographical backgrounds.
Outstanding Delegates Honoured: The two-day conference concluded with the recognition of delegates who demonstrated impressive presentations, active participation and outstanding performance across the various committees.
Deserving participants were honoured for their contributions, celebrating not only their debating skills but also their ability to collaborate, communicate and engage constructively with others.
BDBBPS MUN 2026 concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the importance of peace, diplomacy, sustainability, dialogue and youth leadership.
