Gurugram, 9 April. Last night, a massive fire broke out at a housing society in Gurugram, causing panic among residents. Tall flames could be seen from far away, and the whole neighborhood was thrown into chaos.
According to local reports, the fire broke out on the builder floor of Vipul World Society, located on Sohna Road in Sector-48. The blaze, which began on the fourth floor, quickly escalated into a fierce fire that lit up the night sky with intense flames. Witnesses described the scene as both terrifying and surreal, with some residents feeling unwell from the stress and smoke.
Fire officials received the first alert of the fire at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Initially, one fire truck from the Sector-29 fire centre was sent to the scene. However, upon assessing the intensity and rapid spread of the flames, authorities quickly mobilized an additional four fire engines. Firefighters worked tirelessly for nearly three hours before finally managing to bring the situation under control.
The relentless fire consumed two bedrooms, a dining room, and most of the personal belongings within the affected area. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, sparing residents from potentially more serious consequences.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the blaze was likely triggered by a short circuit. However, the exact source of the short circuit has not yet been determined.
