Gurugram, July 20: Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram successfully organised Chitrankan 2026 – Inter School Art Fest, bringing together young artists from 27 reputed schools on a common platform to celebrate creativity, innovation and interdisciplinary learning through art. Held on July 15, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different age groups, who showcased their artistic excellence through a series of thoughtfully designed competitions.

The theme of this year’s festival, “Canvas of Learning – Where Art Integrates with Every Subject,” encouraged students to explore the connection between visual arts and academic disciplines such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Languages and Environmental Studies. Through paintings, murals, sculptures and mixed-media creations, participants demonstrated how artistic expression can make classroom learning more engaging, meaningful and innovative.
The festival commenced with the registration of participants, followed by a formal inaugural ceremony in which guests, teachers and students from participating schools were warmly welcomed. Throughout the day, the campus transformed into a vibrant creative space as budding artists competed in nine unique events designed to test their imagination, technical skills and conceptual understanding.
The competitions included Echoes of Nature – Fusion of Kalamkari & Pichwai Art, The Shape Symphony – Mixed Media Mural Challenge, The Art of Timeless Verses, Heritage Through Time, Twilight Harmony, Eco Artistry, Frame to Fame, Fibonacci Impressions and Sculpting History.
Each artwork reflected originality, attention to detail and a deep understanding of the competition themes. Participants impressed the judges with their creativity, innovative use of materials and the successful integration of academic concepts into visual storytelling. The event also witnessed a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration among students, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The entries were evaluated by an eminent panel of judges comprising Ms. Sangeeta Kumar Murthy, an acclaimed artist and researcher; Ms. Nitasha Jaini, a renowned contemporary installation artist; Ms. Kalaiarasi Abhilash, Founder of Kala Fine Arts and National Award-winning portrait artist; and Mr. Dashmesh Singh Chehal, an alumnus of Amity International School, Sector 46, and a designer from the National Institute of Design.
The jury appreciated the originality, artistic expression, conceptual clarity and technical excellence displayed by the participants. They also praised the festival’s unique concept of integrating visual arts with academic subjects, describing it as an innovative approach towards holistic education.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where winners across all competitions were felicitated with trophies and certificates. The Principal congratulated every participant for their remarkable performances and expressed gratitude to the judges, teachers, coordinators, volunteers and support staff for ensuring the successful conduct of the festival.
The school said that Chitrankan 2026 once again reflected its commitment to promoting creativity, collaborative learning and holistic development by providing students with opportunities to explore the limitless possibilities of art beyond conventional classroom boundaries.
