BDBBPS Hosts Genesis 2026 Health & Wellness Fiesta, Promotes Mental Health Awareness Through Dance and Drama
Gurugram, October 16, 2026: Blue Bells Public School (BDBBPS) hosted Genesis – Health & Wellness Fiesta 2026, an inter-school mega life skills event, under Adept – A Programme for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by wellnesswise.in. Organised to commemorate World Mental Health Day, the event brought together students from different schools to raise awareness about mental health, emotional well-being, empathy and the importance of meaningful human connections.

Held under the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” the event provided a platform for students to express their understanding of mental health challenges through creative performances and thought-provoking storytelling. The initiative aimed to encourage open conversations about emotional well-being, challenge social stigma and reinforce the importance of listening without judgement.
A major highlight of the fiesta was the Inter-School Dance Drama Competition for students of Classes IX to XII, based on the theme “The Invisible Weight We Carry – The Light We Choose to Create… Within Every Connection is a Ray of Hope!” The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools.
Through powerful performances combining dance, drama and storytelling, students brought to the stage the emotional struggles that often remain hidden behind everyday smiles. Their presentations explored sensitive issues such as loneliness, mental health stigma, emotional distress, empathy, resilience and hope. The performances highlighted how a simple act of kindness, a compassionate conversation or a patient and understanding listener can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
The participating teams conveyed the message that mental health challenges are not always visible and that individuals may be dealing with emotional burdens that others cannot easily recognise. Their performances encouraged the audience to look beyond appearances, approach others with sensitivity and create an environment where people feel safe to share their experiences without fear of judgement.
The competition was evaluated by an eminent jury comprising Mr. Vivek Kwatra, Dr. Smriti Maini and Mr. Pratham Sharma. Bringing their experience, sensitivity and understanding of human emotions to the evaluation process, the jury members assessed the performances not merely on their artistic presentation but also on the depth of thought, emotional expression and the message conveyed through each act.
In the results, BD Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, secured the Best Team Trophy. As the host school, it passed on the Best Team position to St. Michael Senior Secondary School. Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, secured the First Runner-Up position, while Moksha International School was declared the Second Runner-Up.
Beyond the competition, Genesis – Health & Wellness Fiesta 2026 served as a meaningful learning experience for students, encouraging them to use creativity as a medium to address important social and emotional concerns. The event highlighted the role educational institutions can play in promoting mental health awareness, nurturing emotional intelligence and helping young people develop essential life skills.
By bringing together artistic expression and conversations around mental well-being, the fiesta reinforced the idea that empathy, understanding and human connection are essential to building a supportive community. It also encouraged students to recognise the importance of reaching out to those who may be struggling silently and offering support through small but meaningful gestures.
The event concluded with a powerful message: every voice matters, every story deserves to be heard, and no one should have to carry an invisible weight alone. Through Genesis 2026, BDBBPS underscored the importance of creating a culture in which mental health conversations are welcomed, individual experiences are respected and every connection has the potential to become a ray of hope.
