
Managing Director A Sreenivas held a meeting with Faridabad Industries Association

Gurugram, May 4. Secretary of Haryana Energy Department and Managing Director of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam A. Sreenivas held a meeting at FIA house with the representatives of Faridabad Industries today.
The Managing Director discussed the proposals put forward by the industrial representatives in this meeting point by point. Keeping in mind the industrial progress, it was decided to expand the infrastructure of power supply and not to delay the necessary immediate works and also to increase the financial powers of the engineer.
He directed to make future plans and long term plans in accordance with the increasing demand for electricity. He clarified that it is our own responsibility to meet the increasing electricity demand. The decision to make future plans has to be taken today in the present itself.
He informed that a budget of Rs 2888 crore has been allocated to Faridabad Circle. Which includes all categories including 70 industrial feeders and 84 urban feeders. The DPR has been prepared by the Smart Grid Project Team and it has been duly approved by the Regulatory Commission. The tender for this project will be issued in May this month.
A Sreenivas informed that open access cases will be resolved while maintaining HERC open access regulations. Mobile repair vans will be deployed to ensure quick restoration of electricity and problems of electricity consumers. Adequate manpower will be arranged for night line repairs. Additional staff and a sub-divisional officer have also been deployed during night time.
It was informed in this meeting that in the last 5 years, 5 new power houses have been built in Faridabad, which have two 220 kV and three 66 kV substations. Apart from this, 2 new substations will also be commissioned this year. One 66 kV substation will be commissioned this month and one 220 kV substation will be commissioned in the next 4 months. HVPNL will upgrade the powerhouse by creating additional capacity, build new power stations, power supply in Faridabad is smooth at the existing power station and it will be improved further. Reliable and uninterrupted power supply has increased the confidence of consumers in DHBVNL.
Power consumption has increased in Faridabad
It was informed in the meeting that the consumption of industrial category in the financial year 2024-25 has increased to 27690.04 lakh units as compared to 23412 lakh units during the financial year 2023-24, that is, there has been an increase of 4278.04 lakh units or 18.27% as compared to the financial year 2023-24.
In this meeting, all the industrialists representing their respective industrial sectors demanded to develop infrastructure and build new substations in accordance with the potential power demand.

On behalf of the Electricity Department, Director Operations of DHBVN Vipin Gupta, Faridabad’s Superintending Engineer Jitender Dhull, HVPN’s Superintending Engineer Atul Agarwal, Executive Engineers of all divisions attended this meeting.
