Gurugram, 10 September – Acting on multiple public complaints received through the CM Window, district authorities today carried out a demolition drive in Village Bhondsi to remove unauthorized structures and reclaim encroached government land.
Officials confirmed that seven illegal constructions were razed during the operation. The encroachments, described as longstanding and initiated before the current official assumed charge, had allegedly been established by local kabzadharis (illegal occupants).
The demolition drive was led under the supervision of Duty Magistrate R.K. Mongia (AE), with technical support from Junior Engineers Pradeep Sharma, Rohit, Ankit Kapoor, and Varun. The operation was conducted in coordination with local police to maintain law and order and ensure adherence to safety and legal protocols.
Authorities emphasized that the reclaimed land now stands free of encroachment.
“The action was necessary to safeguard government property and to address citizens’ grievances lodged through the CM Window,” an official said.
The move reflects the administration’s continuing efforts to crack down on unauthorized construction in the region, a persistent challenge in Gurugram and surrounding areas, where rapid urbanization has often led to disputes over land use and illegal development.
