Gurugram (Paridhi Dhasmana), 29 September – The festive spirit of Navratri came alive on 27th September 2025, as Ghungroo Dance Institute hosted a dazzling Dandiya Night at Vaish Samaj in Sector 4, filling the evening with dance, devotion, and community celebration.
The evening saw a lively mix of music, rhythm, and color as participants swirled their sticks in perfect sync to the beats of traditional Garba and Dandiya tunes. Adding distinction to the occasion, the event was graced by eminent guests – Gargi Kakkar, BJP State Secretary; Dr. Nirmal Bansal, Vice Chairman of the Sorbon International Selection Board and Honorary Provost of ESRDS France; and Apurva Kharband, Principal of Narayana e-Techno School.
The much-anticipated highlight of the night was the Dandiya Queen and King competition. For the second year in a row, Preeti Sethi retained her crown as Dandiya Queen, joined by Varsha who also won the title, earning admiration for their energy and grace, while Moksh was declared Dandiya King, marking his triumph with thunderous applause from the crowd.
Behind the success of the program was the dedicated team of Ghungroo Dance Institute – Dr. Vijay Laxmi Flora, Monika Dheer, Poonam Goyal, Preeti Malani, and Meghna Sharma – who seamlessly blended cultural tradition with modern celebration. Remarkably, even with a fracture in her leg, teacher Poonam Goyal was seen participating with full excitement, inspiring everyone present.

With vibrant costumes, infectious beats, and an atmosphere charged with joy, the event reflected the enduring power of Navratri festivities to unite communities. As the night wound down, the sound of clashing dandiya sticks and the spirit of togetherness left a lasting imprint on Gurugram’s festive calendar.
