Gurugram, 12 July – Today, once again, BWWA Kashmir FTR in yet another philanthropic contribution to society teamed up with Rotary club Gurugram Central, in SANJEEVNI Tree Plantation Drive at BSF campus Bhondsi, Sohna Road, Gurugram. President BWWA Kashmir FTR, Mrs. Roopa Yadav, an acclaimed environmental and animal welfare educator, was the chief guest.
It may be recalled that BWWA is an interface to the families of serving/retired BSF personnel, widows of martyred Bordermen, and provides support to them.
Rotary club Gurugram Central, in the first such teaming up with BSF, assured many future endeavours for the benefit of the society. Approx 500 fruit-bearing plants & saplings were planted by the Rotarians in the presence of local MLA SOHNA Sh Tejpal Tanwar during the Sanjeevani plantation drive in an environment that encourages nurturing and growth.
In her statement, Mrs Roopa Yadav reiterated her vision of believing that all creation must live together in harmony for a happier and healthier future and exhorted all samaritans to join us for the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” tree plantation drive symbolizing our collective commitment to nurturing the planet and all its inhabitants.
