Gurugram, 26 August. With the blessings of honourable Chairperson Dr. Amita Chauhan and the dynamic leadership of School Principal Dr. Arti Chopra, Amity International School, Sector-46, Gurugram proudly participated in the CBSE North Zone Cricket Tournament held from 1st to 4th August 2025 at Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth School, Faridabad. Organised by CBSE Games and Sports, the event brought together teams from across North Zone Haryana with the objective of promoting team spirit, sportsmanship and healthy competition among young cricketers.
The tournament witnessed intense matches filled with excitement and skilful displays, as players from different schools battled for top honours. Representing Amity with determination and grit, the U-19 Girls Cricket Team performed exceptionally well. Swarnim Gaur of Class XII D and Aadya Gupta of Class XII F both won Gold Medals and were selected to be part of the prestigious North Zone Cricket Team, a proud moment not only for the school but also for the entire Amity fraternity. Alongside them, the younger talents also showcased their promise as Vidushi Saproo of Class VII A clinched the Silver Medal and Bhavya Malik of Class VI F secured the Bronze Medal. Their success highlights the nurturing of sporting talent at Amity from the junior level to the senior most students.
The participation of students from diverse schools and the remarkable victories achieved by our Amitians reflect the school’s unwavering commitment to holistic development, where equal importance is given to academics, arts and sports. The event not only provided a platform to demonstrate sporting abilities but also strengthened the values of teamwork, discipline, perseverance and leadership which are central to cricket.
