Faridabad (Ajay Verma/Paridhi Dhasmana), 28 April – In an unusual sight on the roads of Faridabad’s colonies, 33-year-old Amit Bhadana is delivering milk in a ₹50-lakh Audi A3 Cabriolet. Covering up to 60 kilometres each day, he supplies approximately 120 litres of milk to households, spending around ₹400 on petrol daily.
A resident of Mohbtabad village, Bhadana embraced this unconventional delivery method just three days ago, trading his Harley-Davidson-750 motorcycle—worth around ₹8 lakh—for the luxury convertible. He explains that with rising temperatures, the adjustable retractable roof of the Audi makes transporting milk far more comfortable.
Bhadana’s journey into dairy distribution began during the COVID-19 pandemic. A commerce graduate who spent seven years as a manager at HDFC Bank, he stopped reporting to the bank when the lockdowns began. “I started helping my brother with the family’s milk supply and found I genuinely enjoyed the work,” he recalls. In 2021, he resigned from his bank manager post to run the operation full-time alongside his brother, Lalit, who continues to assist with deliveries.
Today, Bhadana single-handedly delivers milk across Faridabad every morning. The family’s dairy farm houses 32 cows and six buffaloes. Although he declines to disclose his exact earnings from milk sales, he is forthright about his love for high-end vehicles. “Driving expensive cars is my passion,” he says. “I funded this Audi entirely from my own income.”
Bhadana’s father, a retired army officer, and his homemaker mother, Mrs. Vijanwati, manage the farm and household respectively. His other brother, Raj Singh, is an event manager. Amit is married and the father of two young daughters.
Reflecting on his son’s choices, Mr. Bhadana says, “Amit has always been fond of bikes and cars. He pays for all his expenses himself. I’m proud that he’s working hard and following his passion.”
