DC Ajay Kumar Reviews AI-Driven “Raasta Fix” App; Officers’ Feedback to Enhance Civic Grievance Redressal
Gurugram, August 26: All First-Class Gazetted Officers posted in Gurugram district will now actively report civic issues through the AI-based mobile application Raasta Fix, enabling real-time updates to be shared with concerned agencies for prompt action. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar on Tuesday reviewed the functioning of the app, highlighting its expanded role in streamlining civic grievance redressal.
Previously used solely by citizens, the Raasta Fix platform will now be leveraged by officers to submit feedback on problems encountered during their daily commutes. This initiative follows directions from Rajesh Khullar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, during a recent meeting with district officers at the Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Gurugram.
Khullar emphasized the need for proactive reporting of civic issues by officers and instructed them to upload observations related to public infrastructure and cleanliness using the app. He also stressed coordination with relevant departments to ensure timely resolutions.
DC Ajay Kumar noted that officer-generated feedback will help compile integrated data on civic problems, which will be instantly shared with the responsible agencies. “This model will significantly enhance the speed and efficiency of issue resolution,” he said.
Pravin Kaushal, representative of Atino Technologies, the agency that developed Raasta Fix, explained that while the app was initially designed for public use, a separate interface has now been created for officers.
The DC added that seven major civic issues have been identified for officers to report: potholes, garbage accumulation, waterlogging, stray animals, construction and demolition (C&D) waste, and the burning of solid waste. To date, over 1,500 complaints have been uploaded by citizens via the app—all geo-tagged and automatically forwarded to the appropriate departments.
The process is straightforward—officers can take a photo of the issue at the site, upload it to the app, and the system ensures it reaches the relevant agency for action, he said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Vatsal Vashisth and City Magistrate Sapna Yadav were also present during the review meeting.
